Students Facing Pressure
Do students do enough to prepare for the future, or do they do too much? As a child we are all that that if we try out best and do well in school we would have a nice life. Everyone striving for the American dream, but even with a college degree the dream is not promised. Students need to set themselves apart from the rest in order to get noticed by the school of their choice. Students have to strive for excellence while maintaining a social life, sports, clubs, a job, and family. With the future coming so quickly and the preparation that goes into it a student can get lost. The pressure can make a person crumble, but there are ways to get a lot of work done without losing control.
Students and everyone in general needs to learn how to prioritize. A way to prioritize is to stay organized. A simple way to do this is to keep a schedule. Keeping a schedule helps anyone keep track of what they have done and have to do in the future. It helps a person to keep control in a very hectic world. A phone application or less than five dollar planner can really make a difference.
A simple way to keep going in the morning on the way out the door is to get everything ready the night before. It removes the hassle of running around at the last minute looking for your keys, or whatever you search for every morning.
Another way to maintain control is to separate assignments and important papers. They should be separated by subject or content. Organizing documents eliminates papers being lost or scattered to who knows where.
When life is a little bit more organized a great thing to do is set aside one day, or even just an hour a day to do anything you want or have to get done. Work can be done, or it can be used as a time to relax, just make sure the relaxation doesn’t take over.
Another way to keep on track is to set out priorities and goals. The priorities are those things that need to be done or paid attention to first. When priorities are organized from most to least important you know exactly what has to get done and when. On the side of priorities goals can be set out in order to get ahead without losing your head. The goals could be anything from going to the gym to going to Amsterdam. But the only way the goals can work out is if they are written down and remembered. Keep goals in a separate part of your schedule.
Once life is simply and organized a person can treat them self more, and start to conquer their goals. Keeping life organized and together diminishes a huge amount of stress, and prepares anyone for tasks to come.
